“Liquid Touch”

Location: Oregon Coast

The moment the sun makes “contact” with the horizon during sunset off the Oregon Coast.

I hadn’t planned on this photograph. I was here for another project:

My abstract photography.

So it was, as often the case along the Oregon Coast, clouds began to coalesce around the horizon. This blocked the light and caused me to pause my photography.

Noticing the gap between the bottom of the clouds and the top of the horizon, I had to make a choice: either resume my earlier photography or try and capture something different when the sunlight would reappear.

I decided to try and capture something different.
