“Hood-River-Bridge (Autumn)”

Location: White Salmon, Washington (2019)

Autumn colors coincide with bridge lights as Mt. Hood looms in the distance.

You can’t see it, nor smell it (thank goodness), but there were a lot of salmon carcasses washed ashore all around me.

(I hadn’t expected that.)

Just like with “Hood-River-Bridge (Winter)”, which was photographed the winter prior to the autumn in which I shot this photo, I had to wear waders to access the rocky rivershore to take this photo.

Wading through water brackish from decaying fish was an unexpected obstacle to say the least.

Fortunately, I had my photography to distract my mind.
