“Pacific City Reflections”

Location: Pacific City, Oregon (2019)

Colors collide as the rocks divide in this dynamic sunrise from Pacific City, Oregon.

The textured sky mirrored in the water was captivating. The sun had set nearly 30 minutes earlier, but the Mother Nature’s show was not over.

Having already photographed both “Starburst Reflection” and “Kiwanda Tapestry”, I was at the end of my creative energy.

(Several times in fact I had put my gear away and decided I was done, only to be further guided by my imagination to stay and photograph more.)

The beauty of the moment was just incredible.

One of those rare moments (maybe they happen more frequently without me knowing), but one of those rare moments when you find yourself surrounded by a natural phenomenon that doesn’t happen as often as you’d like.

This was one of those evenings that made up for all the times I’ve driven to a location hoping for a spectacular sunrise or sunset only to fail.

And perhaps an evening like this one inspired someone on the beach to get into photography.

The sandy flat shores at Pacific City can really be special when the light reflects of the sand.

What spectacular evening.
