“Visitation”

A double rainbow appears during the morning as the perfect combination of sun, clouds, and rain collide during high tide at Pacific City.

Rainbows can be fickle to photograph. They can appear in full, their arches stretching from end to end, like a peacock on full display, or they can reveal just a sliver of their full glory.

Whenever I see a rainbow, I think of their symbolism. Usually accompanying the passing of a storm, I can’t help but be filled with a sense of awe and hope. They are like a divine messenger from the sky showing us the best is yet to come.
