“Sun’s Encore”

Location: Oregon Coast (2019)

As if to give one final performance, the sun reemerges beneath a bank of clouds, before disappearing beneath the horizon.

This image was captured during one of my abstract photography sessions where I try and capture the interplay between the sunlight reflecting off the ocean.

Abruptly interrupted when the sunlight disappeared – I hadn’t even noticed there were clouds along the horizon.

Changing my camera’s settings, I waited for and witnessed, the ‘sun’s encore’.
