“Moonlight Falls”

Location: Big Sur, California (2018)

The sound of the waterfall could not be heard over the monotonous rumble of the ocean, but under moonlight, it shown like quicksilver.

It was right around sunrise, during ‘blue hour’, just prior to sunrise.

The breeze, gentle as it was gracious, swept into the small bay and across the reeds.

Each exposure was 30 seconds and my heart raced in excitement as I waited for each exposure to reveal what the camera had seen.

The foam in the ocean swirled and the light from the full moon only intensified the drama in the exposed photographs.

As the morning sunlight began to overpower the moonlight, I took one last look and headed out.
